I had a feeling that either Suzy or Grace (or, indeed both) were going to pull off an upset - they've both been playing well recently, and their opponents were not on great runs.

Shame not both. But great that at least one.

Doubles draw is out and it does feature Katie S, so we can assume that she has a singles MDWC as I suspected.

Esther is there too, so she may have one as well, as it would be strange for her just to play doubles and not even singles qualifying, so that may mean Emma isn't fit after all. Guess we'll find out soon. No sign of Armani in dubs though, so she may just be sitting this one out. Looks like Katie S, Alicia, Esther and either Emma or Armani.

Emily came from 1-3 to take the first set 6-4 against Ola. Freya dropped her first set to Jo G 2-6.

What a shame Freya, Anna & Sam and Katie S are all in the same quarter in the doubles! I notice Katy D not in the doubles draw again which is unusual for her. Didn't play last week either. I wonder why?

Freya has retired at 2-6 0-3. Ola looks like taking her match with Emily into a MTB, 2-5* double break up.

Oh yes, how lovely to see Anna back biggrin - but that's really too bad she and Sam have drawn Freya + first up!

I don't know how fit Anna is, but with a little match fitness she and Sam should be a good combination

I had a feeling it wouldn't be Emily who came through the all-British section of the draw, but well done to Ola for making it to the main draw.

Suzy is now *4-2 having been a break down at one point.
