4-4 in the 1st set.  No BPs, server dominant on these fast courts. Easy to see some tie breaks in this match

A couple of missed forehands when Dan served at 5-6 gives GD the set.  Good standard of tennis.

Dimitrov seems to have found a return to form and two 7-5 sets suggests dan played well and their respective rankings are about right.

Presumably onto to Beijing qualies now?

 First tournie after few weeks off since us open , maybe just aiming to get eye in or as mentioned before with an eye on possible davis cup pairings. Although Indiana would disagree !

Pity after the mini fightback at the end, but Grigor is widely known for being a good chap and until the US Open had had a rotten year so not too many complaints.

Yes, I woke up in time to watch his fight back in the second set. Really upped his level of play and Dimitrov helped by playing a really poor game when first serving for the match. Unfortunately Dan couldnt sustain the momentum.
