A short and sweet thread from a GB perspective, and was mentioned earlier in the entries section, but may as well make it official in here.
It was always going to be difficult as Peterson is at a career high and has done very well over the summer, beating Jo of course, and triumphed in the WTA Nanchang final 5 days ago, before pulling out of WTA Guangzhou this week, so she was fresh and in form, but it does kind of show how far away Hev is from that sort of level. Hev actually broke in the very first game, but went quickly downhill thereafter, and lasted little over an hour.
Heather is live ranked 125 on 520 points, and just over 600 is usually in and around the top 100 cut off point. She does have 59 points coming off before mid-November, so getting into the top 100 before the AO cut off will probably be unrealistic.
So have Barty and Kvitova, and I agree it's a good move, obviously different countries and federations, but it would be nice if Rome-Madrid and Canada-Cincy did the same.

Agree with that Ace. No reason to not make it a standard policy for back to back premiers
