Great stuff. I was hoping one from Eliz, Sonay or Tanysha would come through, but to get 2 is fanstastic. Hopefully one of them (or Emily Arb) draws Grace in the main draw.

And Kasia still in with a good shout too

I was just thinking (again) if Garland would only do the right thing biggrin, she wouldn't need be slugging it out on Court 5, at 7.45pm in the dark, playing twice in 2 days...

I'm not enjoying this constant 0-0 instead of 15, 30 etc. means you can't really dip in and out. Although to be fair, it's pretty decent that there are streams for qualifying matches.

I've got the live scores open in another window - the momentum graph is working even if the scoring is

Will Sonay get ranking points for that?

She should get one point but will need three counters before she gets a ranking

Ranking for Eliz though. Already had single point counters from Sharm last November and Cancun last month.

Will take us up to 35 ranked on 30/09. Chloe Compson is due to lose one of her 3 'counters' the following week, 07/10. So as things stand, then back to 34 again.

Anyone know anything about Sonay Kartal. She has just won.

Very good junior based in Sussex. Had a lot of injuries, but her junior ranking is going the right way and one of our better junior talents.

And had she done so before last week's British Tour Premier she would have had a MDWC next week.

3 (and a half...) through of the 8 places available is fantastic, and surely the most success at a W25 Q level for quite some time. I think Chiswick last year we may have had similar, but then it was predominantly top Q seeds like Sam, so to get 3, and not one of them 1-8 seeds, is pretty amazing really. It'll be interesting to see where everyone ends up.

Anyone know how long Andre L has been in the UK for... ;)

I think at least two to three years, I've certainly seen her in brit tours for about two years now. The lta tournament software site will show all the brit tours she has done.

Potential opponents:

(3) Friedsam
(5) Tan
(7) Georges
Dodin
Gervais
Heisen
Raducanu
(WC) Piper

Some pretty tough options there. Friedsam and Dodin are 25 and 22 respectively and have both previously been inside the WTA top 50, but have had injury nightmares recently. Friedsam has used a lot of her PR allocation, and has had some notable wins, so hopefully our players avoid her. I'd like to see something like Piper vs Kartal and Raducanu vs Maloney to guarantee 2 through to the last 16.
