As some of you may have seen, although I am not sure if it made the UK news, the Costa Blanca has suffered its worst storms for over 100 years in the last couple of days. There has been extensive flooding and sadly loss of life in the region as well.
I am currently in Brazil, which makes matters worse in a way because I don't know if my house has been affected or not. Some of my neighbours have been flooded, but others haven't. The particular neighbour that has a key to my house and looks after it while I am away is in the UK for a few days, so I may not know for sime time if I have been flooded or not.
To say I am stressed would be an understatment. Here is a picture of my estate that I have just been sent.
Touch wood, I am in the clear so far. My neighbours have managed to check inside and it is still dry. Water levels are about 2 inches below the door at the moment so just hoping there isn't any more rain.
Hope things remain OK for you, crucial is to pray for no more rain - we've been there- we are next to a stream that can flood, and vulnerable to run off water from our road, changed to carpet tiles and have bricks available to hoist up sofas, piano, tables etc.
Just been told by my neighbours that the dam at the local reservoir has been repaired and water levels have dropped 6 inches. Not completely out of the woods yet but it is looking a lot better than it did about 8 hours ago.

Apparently it's looking better by the hour thanks. We can even see "garden" again now.
