 This is a good test for Ryan - he sort of built his ranking quietly when the ITF M15 points didnt count and suddenly jumped quite high when the process changed back to something akin to sensible. He had a couple of good runs in British Futures events early in the year and I have no doubt 378 is a good reflection of his current place in the game. Tommy Paul will clearly be tough and probably beat him but I hope Ryan can put up a decent showing as I think he has plenty of fight in him. 

 Well i think ryan did well losing in a tiebreak and 6-4, paul provided too strong but ryan deserves plaudits. I reckon top 300 for ryan in next 4 months

Liam loses the 1st set against Seppi, 7-5 in the breaker. Strange set, probably due to my jinxing. It was all apparently going on quite steadily until I turned on live stream with Liam serving at *3-3 15-1.

The next 4 games all went against serve. Then in the TB, 9 of the 12 points went against the serve. Liam started with an Ace and then didn't win another point on his own serve.

L32:  (1) Andreas Seppi (ITA) WR 77 defeated Liam Broady WR 266 by 7-6(5) 6-3  hmm
