RE: Week 35 - ITF (W15) Cancun, Mexico Hard

Bold prediction or what! (admittely I read the drawsheet wrong) but it came to pass.

2 points at stake but I think that they'd both be happy with the 4.

Good luck and well done to both biggrin

Pitak sisters win their QF 6-1 6-3. Can't see if there's any more play tonight as one of the matches has come up as "interrupted". biggrin

Well good to see that Emilie and Ola have both made it through to play each other in the SF. Pity its not the F, but good that one of them will be in it!
And they could still all play each other in the doubles final...

Both Emilie and Ola also now have live ranks that are well inside their CHs. Emilie is LR 684, into the 600s for the first time, and Ola is into the 700s for the first time at LR 784.

Emilie is also still 19 yrs just to note, and Ola is 18. Plenty of time for both.

Doesn't matter how you get there - foresight is a great thing  smile

I think Emilie is our only singles finalist player left standing now.

Stacey Fung was part of the doubles team that beat Emilie and Amber Washington 6-3 6-1 in the doubles SF. Emilie will be very happy with that revenge

Here's a fact that will surprise many - Emilie has just gone past Lissey Barnett and Freya Christie in the live rankings - 41 pts to 40 pts - and is now in the top 650

Very good !

These Mexican W15s are undoubtably far from the toughest but overall Emilie and Ola Pitak certainly seem to be progessing nicely. Would be good to see Kasia Pitak get a few more wins.
