Cam lost the first set and has been behind so far in the first game of the second set. I predict a French win if this carries on.

Not been following it, how is Cam playing? I see Barrere was on the Glasgow entry list you posted and my guess is that he is quite happy on faster courts. Cam seems to have hit that second season rut IMO and i suspect it may need the winter off to get some good training in and get back to it again.

Hmm, not sure at all about a rut.

OK, today not great so far but while yes we hope players keep advancing he's been generally competing not too bad at now exclusively ATP tour level, and it's only last month that he reached the ATP 250 Atlanta SF. He's #52 in this year's latest race positions.

Cam latterly took total control over Barrere in his 7-6(5) 6-0 win in Los Cabos a few weeks ago. Can he again, if not to that extent ...

Ah good. I had to go out for 15 minutes. Come on Cam! Not sure how much longer I can stay up though.

Sounds fair, I haven't followed Cam or the other brits too closely for much of the year and hardly at all post Wimbledon.

Norrie saved some match points while Barrer was serving for it. I really need to go to bed. Oooop

He's a fighter. Was down 4-1 in the tie break and then won 6 of the next 7 points to take it into a decider.

And the set in the bag by 6-4, eventually followed by the fourth by 7-6(5).
