Week 34 - US Open Qualifying, Flushing Meadows, New York City (hard)

He did well there as he was *3-5 down in the TB at one stage, and it looked like it would just go with serve.

Dino will be delighted with that win. Very solid other than the game he was broken

Excited to see Sinner into the FQR.

Born in 2001, like Jack and Anton and the rest, he's knocking on the door of the top 100 now and plays SUCH an exciting game to watch for a youngster.

And, although I support all the Brits, I was glad that Trungelliti won in a way - he's received such a bad time, for simply being a decent guy and reporting corruption, that you can't help but wish him well.

Agree we need more sportsmen doing the right thing and reporting match fixers. He needs one more win to make Main Draw.

Add me to the list of people that are happy to see Trungelliti into the main draw, a break up in the 3rd so fingers crossed for him.

Both Trungelliti and Sinner made the MD and have drawn Nishikori and Wawrinka  respectively

So, if I read the US Open post correctly, they had 115,355 attendees at the qualifiers week.

All time record high.

And just ENORMOUS !

Makes the couple of thousand tickets for Wimbly qualis look a bit silly.....

Wait 'til Wimbledon moves the qualis onto what is now the golf course.
