I hope this court isn't going to become a Brit graveyard.

This is an absolutely shocking performance

3-6 *3-5. At the point of no room for error, which is pretty ironic.

Well done to the 15 year old. Katie Swan not prepared for the weather.

Think that just about sums it up PaulM. Awful. 3 errors in that final game and another break. 3-6 3-6.

After decent performances in Kentucky (where it was hot too, wasn't it?), that's really disappointing.

I suppose technically she was one of the last 2 or 3 to sneak in, so was a bit of an unexpected bonus playing here in the first place, but 30 points falling off, and very likely to be back outside the top 250 again.

Big win for Katrina, her biggest by miles, and while she was solid and didn't really have to do much to get the win as it was just error after error on the otherside of the net, having just turned 15 a few weeks ago, possibly another to add to the emerging US female players. Must be nice.

WR 1049. Before today Katrina had 8 pts, Katie S has just gifted her another 20. That will shove up her ranking by about 300 places. I must admit I hadn't thought it possible that Katie could lose this match.

3 wins would be great, and while 2 might be slightly under par (judging by those odds and the respective ranking difference between our 3 favourites and their opponents), I probably would just about take it, if offered.

I'd snap your hand off now no

Harriet's just got underway.

Only saw a little of Katie's match, and she seemed to be suffering from the heat very badly - and the MTO didn't seem to help.

I didn't see it but can only "hope" that she wasn't fit to play in which case she'd have been better giving a walkover or retiring considering we know how fragile her mind is, as losing a match like that is only going to make it worse.
