All starting to go wrong. Lloyd loses the breaker and Liam 5-7 the 2nd. Really great chance for big points if they can somehow win here.

Liam gets there 6-4 in the third. Really well done and you could see how much this win meant to him. I only watched from 3-3 in the 3rd but both were playing some really high quality tennis. Well done!

Best win ranking wise for Liam since beating Bublik who was ranked 98 back in april. 2nd best ranking win of the season.

I think he knew this win would take him back into the top 250, which is important for Aus Open hopes. Likely to be Chung next which would be his biggest scalp in terms of stature if he could manage it.

I see a lot of Jay in Liam, can see them having the same type of career.
