I've been checking in now and again

Played a little game, tyke army anyone?! But decided that was  naughty!

Was wondering where you'd disappeared to only just the other day!  Welcome back.  smile

Ha, its hard to stay away from things you enjoy but its important to get perspective.  We all have busy lives but balance is important and taking time out to get it is key. Hopefully I can  recognize that now!

Dan is 5-4 down. Been sitting as billy no mates in a kings road restaurant, so not Seen a shot played , but it seems a decent effort ?

L32:  (1) Rafael Nadal (ESP) WR 2 (CH = 1 [for the first time] in August 2008]) defeated (Q) Daniel Evans WR 53 by 7-6(6) 6-4

Plucky resistance by Dan in his first encounter with one of the current masters.

Nadal wins 7-6(6) 6-4

Just a shame Dan couldn't have taken either of those SPs in the first set, but still it seems like a superb effort.

Will be a while before Kyle is on. Nishikori and Gasquet have just gone into a 3rd set.

He may have lost but I reckon Dan will have really enjoyed that challenge. A fun watch.

They were good enough to halt the match whilst I was out at a meeting, so I didn't miss anything. Tremendous fighting performance from Dan, and some fantastic points.
