He is, but Nick at 80 per cent beats Kyle at 100per cent. Point is Kyle should be making more of his fortune in draws. He is very very fortunate.

I'm sure you're right.

To be fair, you have been drinking

Oh dear, slurring my words was I ?  I crashed out after the rain break got extended.

Great win from Kyle. Clearly got lucky with the draw though. He has drawn last week's Washington winner and runner up in the first two rounds so obviously both are completely off form at the moment. Got to take advantage of these "easy" draws.

Yes. Especially if you're only a challenger level player.

Well done to Dan and Kyle and that's a very decent looking effort from Cam in R2, whatever Sascha's relative form has been.

Good to see all 3 of our guys looking fit and well and in pretty decent form at this time.

More rather tough tasks against Nadal and Medvedev. Be interesting and give it yiur best shots, guys.

No, don't think so, but it can be difficult to keep up. I know that they have taken turns as the new man on he block to pass Kyle this year.

You guys are hilarious.

There is no way Nick was anywhere near his best. Less than 48 hrs after an epic Washington final where he beat a string of top players. He nearly withdrew from this tournament. Krygios needs to work on his fitness and commitment. If he can do that hes a Slam winner. Yes its a great performance from Kyle but factor in what Ive said and Im sure you will agree.

Also think Ive been fairly consistent in my views. Dont think Ive even referred to Dan or Cam as challenger players. Dan is the best of the what we have and Cam is probably going to be where he is perfectly capable of winning he odd ATP. Dan will finish the year as GB number 1 in the top 30. The other 2 not far behind.

All the best to Dan in the next round be a great test for him. Kyle v Medvedev could go either way. Again Medvedev has a played a lot of tennis recently.

It actually is quite a funny spat

It genuinely makes me laugh....it feels like 'family', those constant little niggly arguments that never go away, but are not really meant with any ill-will, and they end up in family folklore....

And Jaggy's precious Nick was apparently back to his childish "bad best" in the course of the match - from the Beeb's report:

Edmund keeps his cool to ease past Kyrgios

Edmund never faced a break point against Kyrgios in a rain-affected match, staying calm as the world number 27 argued with the chair umpire for much of the first set about the towels provided courtside.   Kyrgios wanted a white towel as opposed to tournament-branded ones, and after being handed a code violation for an obscenity, was delivered a white towel 20 minutes later.   He was broken midway through the first set, before world number 33 Edmund served out the opener to love.   In the second set, Kyrgios twice saved break point before Edmund finally broke his serve to love to go 5-4 up, going on to seal the win on his second match point with his 15th ace.

All in good fun Jaggy.  All in good fun.  smile

Yes you have been consistent in your views and it will be fun to see over the next few years, whose views turn out to be closest to eventual reality.  Different opinions are a good thing and so is a bit of playful mickey take between friends.
