Dan breaks for *3-1 in the second set.

He quadrupled his first serve return points won in that game. Was 1/27, now 4/31 ( 2nd serve return points won 16/31). Kwiatkowski 8 aces.

And now 4-1*, Dan 7 aces.

Lost count of the number of match points Dan spurned!

*****

FQR:  (q2) Daniel Evans WR 51 vs Marcel Granollers (ESP) WR 103 (CH = 19 in July 2012)

The Spaniard took out Copil, the q9, by 2 & 4 earlier.

Some interesting Q spots, including a Q vs Q one. Wouldn't mind seeing Dan against Cilic tbh.

Yes, worst case scenarios are Bautista Agut, de Minaur or Cilic but potentially a fellow Q or Canadian WC Schnur.

Not the Cilic of this year. He hasn't exactly been very consistent. RBA would be tricky.
