A bit premature there FW, but she got there in the end, on her 4th MP.

Wasn't expecting that, Serena retires after about 4 games, mentioning something about spasms, so Bianca wins her 2nd PM / P5 title this season and will be #14 as FW pointed out yesterday.

Bit of a damp squib for the huge crowd, but I suppose they will be quite content Bianca won, even if not the way they would have liked.

Hopefully Serena is OK for the US Open.

The picture of Bianca hugging/ consoling Serena is very striking; Andreescu is not much over half Serena's age. An incredible moment and return from injury for her, and a lovely result to see more generally. I hope she can stay injury free now...
