Pity, that extra win would have done a lot for her confidence. But then perhaps I was hoping for too much, given the difference in rankings.
From the match stats it looks like her scond serve let her down - winning only 12/30 whereas Iga won 17/20.

I'll always have a soft spot for Dayana having met her at Ilkley last year, and I am generally a fan of that big, line hitting, marginal game, and being ranked 34, she could really do with a run this week or next week to try and sneak in the top 32 and be a seed for the US Open, but at the same time, Jo has her own ambitions lying 8th in the Race and trying to secure a 9-16 seeding place herself for the open. Wasn't expecting Yastremska to win 5 of the next 6 games, having lost those 8 points in a row.

I've not been able to watch any of it yet, but when those type of players, like Ostapenko, Sabalenka etc. get hot and get on a streak, there's sometimes little that can be done. Has anyone been able to see any of it?

Yastremska won 5 games in a row to take the match 6-3 6-2, and a lot of the games won were to like 15, so looks reasonably comfortable. 67-47 points. I have got it on record so will whizz through when I get back.

I only saw a couple of games but it looked to me like Jo's timing was off, especially on the forehand side.

Jo won't be going to any top 8 finals based on this performance or getting into top 16 seeds for US Open.   Added to her match against Strycova  her last 2 performances have dropped off considerably from clay court season. Getting worryingly one sided even if her opponents were on form.

After points have dropped off from Canada last year Jo basically only has points from Moscow last year to defend in the rest of 2019.
