R48: Kyle Edmund WR 35 (CH =14) vs BYE (faces winner of Richard Berankis vs Lloyd Harris)

 

Several high ranked players have withdrawn from Washington, including Sascha Zverev (Lendl is no longer his coach) due to  various reasons (Zverev said it was due to the new tournament director). I hope their scheduling is better than last year's mess. 

Jamie and Andy will be in the doubles draw.

When I first put the stream on, the score was 4-3. Dan was sitting with a bag of ice on his head and an ice-towel round his neck. Looked as if he had been playing for three hours !
