No sign of Emilie in Qualifying in Spain although she was down on the Acceptance list.

She didn't play last week either despite also being down. THe previous week she retired in her singles (but won the doubles trophy!).... So maybe she has some kind of niggle she's clearing at the moment. I hope it's not too serious and she's back soon - she's down for the following week again in Spain, this time a rather different tournament - clay on the Canary Islands, whilst the last two weeks she hasn't played have both been hard courts.

Emilie already has enough points to get a WTA ranking, According to OER on 05/08 she will be GB  #24 on 19 points - Why knock yourself out - in the past she's had a few retirements.

With Dublin & Roehampton in the mens, must be one of the higher turnouts in a single week for British men in tour tournaments.

There doesn't seem to be any home M15s this year - so a lot of ITF ranked players will disappear. I think there were 2 last year - Felixstowe was one  cry

Just to point out that there's the UTR doubles challenge today, Sunday 4th, with £3k in prize money - £1500 for the winning team.

That's big prize money for doubles players (singles too!) - so a shout out to Barry Fuller who seems to find says to keep some of our players afloat

Not surprisingly, quite a lot of decent names taking part ....
