Looks like there'll be at least 6 direct GB entries - Gabi, Naiktha and Sam, as well as Emily Ap, Amanda and Alice via the IR system. There's only 12 entrants listed, so one more will be to add, and if there's no SE's, Alicia will be the first alt, so she may well get in directly without the need of a MDWC. Emma R in the quals list, so I'd assume a MDWC there, as is Joanna Garland and top 10 junior Q Zheng (16) who made the SF of RG juniors recently.

Yes, very interesting. I see a few names in the withdrawal list that might have played, but presume some of them are elsewhere. Time to play guess the wildcards again. Emily Arbuthnott must be in with a good chance after her silver medal in Naples
Yes, great to see already the 6 MD direct entries, and another 7 already in qualifying with 4-5 more as low alts. For once we could have a great GB contingent.
This isn't too far from me. I'd like to go along if possible but I can't find any information about it. Do you just show up and is it free? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Michael. I was looking at the ITF/LTA sites. Didnt think of looking at the hotel! I hope to be able to make it there, then. Foxhills is v nice indeed!
After playing almost exclusively on clay for many years it looks as if Amanda Carreras is starting to experiment with different surfaces. Since returning she has played four times on carpet and if she plays in Woking it will be her 2nd attempt on a hard court.

I have been there. It was very easy to find. A fantastic country club with every activity you could think of. I went mid-week, just walked in and thought how much I would like to be a member if I lived nearby.
Looks like Andrea Lazaro Garcia has appeared from nowhere (possibly MDO?). Hontama was the #12 yesterday and Heisen 1st alt for direct entry, but the Spaniard has now appeared at #13, so Alicia would need 2 withdrawals as well as no SEs to get in directly.
So Angelica Blake will get one of the 4 MDWCs for this, Freya won't require her QWC, but it'll be interesting to see where the other 3 (MD) go. Assuming she's all good with her allocation, you'd probably assume Emma would get one, possibly Emily Arb as well as TA says, less likely Alicia and SBG get in directly now, so there'll be a few disappointed.
Naiktha in the main draw, Emily and Alice in via the IR system again, but no Amanda this time. Sam and Gabi are 1st and 2nd alt, so hopefully there's one or two withdrawals (or no SEs used, unless British) and then they can get in directly without the need of a MDWC.
The list is pretty similar to Woking with the usual names - Smitkova, Grammatikapolou, Kerkhove, Ozgen etc. - those who tend to be here for most GB W25 events - there's actually 8 (including Naiktha) who appear in the top 13 of both lists. Chiswick is stronger than Woking for now with a 282 cut off, but there is a further week for late withdrawals. One of those double edged swords - for anyone on here planning on attending, then it is nice to see a few decent, familiar names, and it is more worth the players while staying for 2 events in the same country, especially when they are only 20 miles apart, but not quite as good for our GB players to get cheap points if they drew a Smitkova in R1 - I'm waffling here, but if you see the Spanish W25+H event in the same week (clay), there are only 10 entrants listed and the cut off is 402, add in the next 3 to make 13 and that takes you to 470 - the equivalent of Eden getting in directly and Alicia being 1st alt, so a lot weaker despite more points available.
On a side note, I see Katie Swan has just withdrawn from Landisville this same week - she'd have actually made quals if she stayed in. We can't see the following weeks Concord W60 list until Thursday, so she may be in there and just taking a week off here, but unless she makes the semi final in Ashland this week (and she could really do with reaching the final) then her US Open Qs hopes are all but over, so I guess a late WC into Chiswick could be a possibility if she loses early.
Lissey has moved up to 2nd alt for Woking. I've not checked the current Special Exempt situation, and there may well be a benefactor from somewhere, but if none are applicable then she'll get in directly.
I also see that Emma and Vic have both withdrawn - hopefully that just means they are MDWCs rather than not playing, but Angelica is still in the alts list and I did notice that Emma withdrew from Chiswick on Monday before the Tuesday AWs.
Would be top seed Smitkova has just withdrawn, which is interesting in a number of ways - a top 150 player has just been replaced with 469 Cascino which makes the list look significantly weaker, SBG is now 2nd alt and will be a DA with Lissey if there are no SEs (making the cut off 509), and both Sam and Gabi should now be seeds (one would have missed out with Smitkova involved). It's not like Smitkova to miss a GB event, so she's probably sneaked into Washington quals or Karlsruhe 125k or something.
There are a few qualifying players still involved in events this week, like Lily in Spain, but wouldn't it be great if we got 8 DAs and then the 4 MDWCs. TA mentioned a combined 25 GB entries last year, and looking at the potential scenarios, it looks set to be very similar this year.
