Week 29 - ITF (W60) Berkeley, USA Hard

Tara looks fit. Not sure what kind of hat she's wearing.

Yes, I was thinking that too.

(About looking fit, not the hat isn't it just normal cap?)

But, yes, she's moving well, and looking dynamic. As you say, good to see.

There was a poor middle part of the set (and how difficult IS it to through a ball up straight???) but the first few games were in her favour and the last few games were very close.

I'm loving this USTA pro circuit coverage. I saw a lot of matches during the US green clay season just before the French Open, which featured the likes of Guaff, Osuigwe, Juvan etc. and the next 3 weeks at Ashland, Lexington and Landisville are all also covered. There is a fixed camera stream for Tara, but Arconada (last week's W60 winner) is the featured match with the commentating, multiple cameras and replays - it really is a great little service.

Yes, all the best.

Katie has previously shown her doubles prowess in such as the Fed Cup group. Doesn't play much doubles so her ranking there is no sort of reflection at all of that ability. I imagine she could be top 200 for starters if she gave it much concentration. Not that I'm particularly advocating that she should but just when it feels worthwhile and complimentary.
