Fair enough. I knew it had gone into a decider, but left it at 3-3 in the MTB, and had to read it a couple of times to make sure she had won, was expecting to see 'lost to', ha.
Doesn't sound vintage, and while Tara could and probably should be ranked higher than she is, Elie is obviously currently higher ranked and the pre match odds were very close, plus playing a home seeded player. Hopefully she is more convincing in the next Q round, but that's a decent enough win on paper.
We're 8 hours ahead of California so the main draw will probably be out within the next hour or so. With her drop in the rankings, Katie S won't be a seed despite being 8th on the initial 'Acceptance List', but hopefully she can get a nice enough 1st round draw to ease her way into it - will probably end up with a Brengle, Vickery or Arconada coming in off the back of a W60 title.

Actually Ace, the draw is out already, and Katie has kept her #8 seed. The seedings would have been based on the previous weeks rankings, so Katie's drop beat the deadline.

Thanks TA, I've actually been caught out with that and corrected before - think it was Katy when she was heading to Japan the other month with a higher ranking following her W60 success. I was looking to see who might have withdrew and each name I was thinking would then appear until I clicked on.
I've done it many times myself - the extra week for the slams usually totally confuses me. Acceptance on one set, seedings on another, current ranking on another - too easy to get mixed up.
