As much as I nearly always back the Brits, as a doubles fan I'm happy to see the doubles specialists beat the singles stars.

I wonder why everyone seemed to expect Andy and Williams to win? Williams is,at best,an indifferent doubles player. She relies on brute strength and intimidation alone with zero volleying ability. These attributes do not work against proper doubles players A very poor choice of partner by Andy who would have won the title with a specialist ladies doubles player!

Is that the same Williams who has won 16 GS doubles titles?

Yes, but she outplayed Andy yesterday who was tentative, error-strewn and really being held up by his bootstraps by Serena.

I only saw a little bit today but it didn't seem much different....

But I'm happy they've had their fun and it's done and dusted too.

Don't care about proper doubles players - just had enough the Lord Mayor's Show feel to the whole thing

Now, if Eden and Evan could show them how it's done, that would suit me fine....

Yes the very same-all titles won by sheer power and with zero flair. Mainly wins in ladies doubles by terrifying the opposition. That 'tactic' doesn't work in mixed!

Just want to give a shout out to our friends from Soto Tennis Academy where Evan has been training for some time now. Eden is apparently an "honorary Soto partner" for these two weeks. Dan Kiernan of Soto is at Wimbledon and has been working with them.

Huge kudos for Soto to have the last Brits standing in Wimbledon this year.

Yeah Andy could have won it. Like he won Wimbledons mens doubles with the accomplished men's doubles player he teamed up with. Oh no he lost. And in the pre- Wimbledon doubles tournament at Eastbourne with another accomplished doubles player. Oh he lost there too. And yeah those specialist ladies doubles players were all queuing up begging him to play with them. !!!!

Wonder when it became a crime to have sheer power in tennis!! No one complains about Rafa's power and aggression intimidating opponents . Rafa's passion is Serena' s aggression!! And by the way she's won 2 mixed doubles at GS level

Many moons ago I seem to remember people complaining about Rosoce Tanner and a big serve confuse
