Zverev (both in fact!) is out in R1.

Not surprised by Sascha losing to Vesely, Vesely has always been pretty good on grass; Tsitsipas is also struggling versus Fabbiano, hope my top tip doesnt crash round one otherwise all my forecasts rest on Dutch doubles players!

I swear winning those end of year tournaments (Paris/WTF) seem a bit cursed. Andy, Karen, Dimi, Sascha, Sock all either became injured not long after or struggled with form.

Kyle finally gets over the line in the 1st set after multiple (I read now it was 10!!) SPs and saving at least a couple of BPs in that last service game.

Given what happened against Fritz in Eastbourne where Kyle had 5 SPs in the opening set but lost it, it was hugely important psychologically for Kyle to see out that service game to take the set 6-4.

I hope I am not tempting fate here, but Tsitsipas was Kyle's potential 3rd round opponent.

Sacha and Tsitsipas

Fact is the old Gen, learnt to play on grass with more skill, as they learnt to play when Grass used to be lightning fast. This is why for the grass season, rankings go out the window.

So many old gen wins today, Seppi, Dr Ivo, Lopez, Tipsarevic.

Sascha and Tsitipas need to stop spending so much time on Instagram.

You can add 35yo Verdasco to that list as well.

Yes, problem is Bob, that this instagram generation, are so entitled.  A big 4 player would have never sleep walked their way through Fabbiano, or a challenger player.

Kyle opens with a break in the 3rd.

Edit

Make that a double break at *3-0

BBC2 are busy showing highlights of Kyle's match, even though the match is still going on LIVE. What are they up to.

Kyle serving for the match at *5-4
