If Kyle loses this match then he should look back to 5 unforced errors to hand the break back at 40 luv in the third set.
Verdasco was gone at 4 games to 1. You simply cant afford these types of lapses and this seems all too regular in his game .
But if he has an injury - and he does -- then the next match is going to end in a drubbing (at best) or a w/o or ret or aggravating the injury even more.
I must be missing something. I thought he was moving really well for the first two and a half sets.
The slip seemed to throw him. And play on his mind. But I didn't think his movement looked hugely compromised. But he did look sad.

Kyle has been managing a knee injury for a while. Wasn't it that flaring up at the FO? so it seems he can play for a while without much/any issues but then it flares up again. All in all, no good at all really.
An opportunity lost and the knee only became an issue after he blew the lead .
Not good enough and Kyle really has no one to blame but himself . Hell never get a better chance to get to the second week and really to blow a two set lead on Centre Court will leave a big mental scar.
Yes, I know that. I meant, for me, there was no sign of it
But what *are* the signs? I was at work so didn't see it but his movement may have been hampered or he was in pain or something?
Kyle is not known for his great movement. He's a tad slow. So, for me, the first two sets, and a half, he was moving amazingly well. Side to side. Forwards backwards. Micro and macro. No sign of injury.
He tweaked his right side when he slid, not his left where the knee injury has been. He got treatment for his right hip and groin. But i think it got in his mind a bit, took him a while to realise he was ok. Worried him. All natural. But by thstbtime the momentum had gone.

I only saw the final set, but Verdasco was basically moving him back side to side and Kyle was not making most of them, not really pushing off and not bothering once or twice. It certainly hampered him but he really should have stopped, the final set at least was pretty pointless. Verdasco just got the break and then just held serve comfortable, moving Kyle around

He tanked his service game at 3-1 in the third. I counted 6 UEs that game to gift it to Fernando. The slip was after this.

Exactly. I agree. That's what I was saying too. He was moving fine but just played an awful game. Then slipped and threw himself off kilter. But not sure he really injured himself.
