8 DFs so far for Fran, and she hands the break back. 2-1*

Fran battling hard, that's twice now she has saved MPs while the Pole was serving for the match. Tie break it is.

Fran 3-3*, in the decider. Had to save BPs in that last hold.

*3-4, another comfortable hold for Kawa. There's no TBs in the 3rd set, as their potential opponents are currently witnessing. Fingers crossed she can pull it off, but it does look like the break has more chance going the other way at the moment.

There's a tie-break at 12-12 this year.

Well there is a TB if you get to 12-12 all now!

Long game here 40-0 to 40-40, then A-40, then 40-A, now A-40. Crucial game.

I did know that, honestly no  smile

I was even meaning to say that, but just the fact it was no tie breaks at 6-6, made me wrongly say no TBs.

Been a couple of close misses today like Juvan and Stollar, but they both won before 12.

Anyway, Kawa did get the break that was looking more likely, and she has the 3rd opportunity to serve for the match

Oh dear Fran loses that game from being 40-0 up. Kawa to serve for the match now, and she's generally served well this set

It'll be a real shame if this does slip, because the year Stollar has had, any attention she does get, is not going to be for her tennis, so there would have been a great opportunity in the next round.

Full round up now. Sadly none of the remaining players built on Sam and Gabi's early wins. Fran did well at the end, but not well enough finally. Two wins is certainly the minimum hoped for, even if all players were outranked. Sam has a favourable draw up next against a clay court player.
