Time for an update

Arthur, our Stanford guy, had been injured

But burst back onto the UK scene by winning the singles title at the M25 Roehampton (beating Loffers) in February (I saw his earlier match against the German, and Féry was just SO solid )

He then made the QFs of two challengers in France

Then had a blip where he had to withdraw from two events half way through

On grass, he got a wildcard to the main draw at Wimbledon and proved his worth, beating Popyrin in R1

Then another challenger QF

And THEN capped it all with taking the title at the Barranquilla challenger (winning the final by walkover, it's true, but you've got to be in it to win it)

Also a mention of him popping up as an alternate in Cincy Qualifying and winning a round earning some points and some money smile

I've had a soft spot for Arthur for a while. Felt so gutted for him when he came within 2 points of qualifying for Wimbledon a few years ago having been 2 sets to love up on Griekspoor (and look where he's gone since). Really hoping he can stay injury free and continue his charge up the rankings.

Max may well say 'hi'

And hi to him too

But Arthur was Stanford's first #1 ITA since the Bryan's

So Max has got a bit more work to do :)
