Shame the Colombians can't meet a GB pairing in the final just for fun! Maybe Dom will do the biz though.

Dan & Lloyd justifying that doubles WC

The lottery that is doubles, results like this toss a coin and theres a winner. Cant be many sports where this happens.

Not sure therefore what this would justify. Im sure any top 500 player that knows Dan would be as justified given the result would maybe he the same.

Football penalties.

Cricket superover.

There are many others, I think.

In the grand scheme of things I have never really seen that playing first to 10 ( plus at least a 2 point lead ) tennis points to finally win a tennis match at one set all is such a lottery ( albeit a full 3rd set is more satisfactory all else bring equal, but there are such as scheduling reasons for the introduction of the MTB ).

But then when you have certain views about doubles tennis full stop ...

Dom & Austin 4-6 *4-4

Yet to break in the match, yet to win a return point in the second set.

4-6 6-6

Warming up their returns for the TB and even MTB to follow. Won their first 2 return points of the set in that last game.

I suppose they weren't seeded to beat them...

They did manage 2 mini breaks in the TB, one to bring up on serve one of 3 SPs that they had. But no steal.

After going through all the Brits, Cabal and Farah have taken the title beating the second seeds in a MTB.
