I don't see Ash playing to be honest. Or it will be a one and done.

Arrived at Eastbourne to see Jo had won. Will see at least one Brit in the ladies singles thank goodness.

Wang Qiang also withdrew a little earlier, replaced by LL Pauline Parmentier.

It's 6.45 in Mallorca and Bencic-Kenin has just gone into a decider and both are scheduled to play Eastbourne tomorrow, so wouldn't be a big surprise to see either or both of those withdraw - could well end up getting a LL in who lost their Q1 match.

Kenin ended up winning Mallorca after Bencic had match points in the 2nd set.
Harriet/Heather on last on court 5

Barty has withdrawn (shoulder) and so an LL will be placed.

Goerges and Sevastova join her. Looks like Bencic and Kenin still plan to play, but if not, I hope Freya and Alicia haven't made too many plans or they may get a call the way it's going...

There's 6 LLs, so every FQR loser is now in the main draw. Obviously Freya and Alicia are still miles away from getting in, but not often a Q1 loser could get in (which would happen with one more). Mandy Minella replaces Ash Barty in the #1 seed position, so she retired in her FQR and now has a bye to the second round.
