Damn, Katie S has not only lost her break but been broken herself so now has to break to stay in the match. Thought she would win this but now looks out
And out she is...

I didn't see the last few games but when I left her, she looked in a strong position. It's a pity for Katie.
Tough for Harriet too but she's not had the best preparation with her foot injury and then not being able to play Surbiton. I hope all our women players have a proper rest after Wimbledon and try to recover from their injuries.
Again, a good effort by Swan to take a higher ranked player to 3, but to no avail in the end. If you look at Zhangs recent results, she lost 2 and 2 to Rogers last week who is still using PR, she's lost 3 and 2 to Kozlova, 4 and 1 to Sharma. She had lost 7 of her last 8 matches, is 75 in the race and that's boosted by the AO at the very start of the year (so much poorer form since Jan), and dipping back to China for a 125k event where she beat a bunch of 200/300 players to reach the final and boost her ranking. Katie was 11/8 at the bookies so still an underdog, but that was definitely an opportunity to make a statement, in a chance not too many players get. If she loses in Wimbledon R1, she will slip further and it'll be back to W25 events for a while.
Certainly Katie's general game seems in a pretty decent place. But the closing out is a disaster and looks like it is maybe becoming cumulatively more of an issue.
A real pity but she needs to seek solutions and/or at least get the one good tight win.
Oh Katie. Did well to turn the first set around and should have closed it out. Looked good in the third and then got so tight. Dropping serve from 40-15 at *4-4 with poor play.
She's so close, so nearly there. Played some lovely tennis. But you have to take these chances and the more you have these end of match collapses the more you get into your head.
Such a shame, she could have been going into Wimbledon on a real positive, instead she's going in on the back of two chokes.
Thought Harriet did very well against a top 20 player and was unfortunate with the slip. I really hope the Wimbledon draw is kind to her, she is playing great tennis and can definitely beat a lot of girls.

5-7 2-6. Not for the first time, won't be the last, Jo left to carry the flag in the tournament (although at the moment, that's just down to scheduling, not performance).
