I wouldn't be surprised either. Vekic is a quality grass player, and what I saw of Konta in Birmingham she was still in clay mode and wasn't quite there with her timing adjusting to the quicker pace of grass. Totally understandable after all her clay matches

You start to get the feeling that Jo's win loss record on grass for 2019 is going to be like her win loss record for clay in previous years. Conversely her clay court record for 2019 is similat to her grass court record for 2017.
As above, just Heather & Harriet in the doubles and they play 3rd seeds Melichar & Peschke. Strong doubles contingent so about as fair a match up as any. Halep is also playing doubles with fellow countrywoman Raluco Olaru who face top seeds Xu & Dabrowski. Nice to see BMS in a draw again as well.
Maybe a little better, but not too much. Yastremska came through quals (not a LL) and her ranking should have seen her into the main draw easily, so must have forgot to sign in or something to have to go through Qs in the first place.
Could be shades of Ostapenko, as when she's on and finding lines, there's not much you can do about it. Freya did take her to a tie break though.
