Can someone correct the thread title please. Despite the tournament name this is a Premier.

Done? I can never remember the WTA tournaments, it's certain not as instinctive as 250/500/masters for the ATP ONES.

She's reached 40 on 3 occasions, but hopefully Freya can at least get on the board before this one finishes 0-6 *0-3.

On a personal note, it would be nice to see Yastremska get something going before Wimbledon after pulling out of Nottingham due to the weather and then blowing a commanding set and break lead over Goerges in Birmingham R1 the other day.

Edit - She is on the board smile

Wonder what Freya imbibed between the first and second sets? Has broken back twice this set but now has to hold serve to force a TB 0-6 *5-6

Not to be, but obviously a much more encouraging second set, going down narrowly on the tie break.

Swiatek may have been given a MDWC but she is struggling to adapt to grass so far. Being pummelled by Stosur at the moment - a bagel and just 6 pts in the first set.

It's an err interesting way that we find GB players for Eastbourne Premier qualifying such is the self imposed timetable of events. From players knocked out in R1 of the play-offs.

This is an absolute nonsense! Winning a round of a pre-qualifying event preventing you from getting a qualifying wild card in another.

Didn't get much better. Lost the 2nd 6-3.

As she is one of the older players never much favoured by the LTA , I am delighted that Lissey has had the chance to play in a high profile tournament . It is about time that some of the older players had some recognition instead of being pushed aside in favour of younger untried and untested players

So it's now been confirmed that Heather, Harriet and Katie have WC's as does Kerber (still in Mallorca)
