I wonder if James feel under pressure to "keep up" with Paul, ie he's thinking I mustn't lose here as this less well ranked guy than me has won so I must win too.

I highly doubt it, they are such very different places in their careers James I think will just get on with doing what he can do.

Looks as though the Russian pretty much gave up in the decider - either that or Paul was just too good (he had his first match point on the Rublev service in the seventh game & saved three break points in the eighth before converting his second MP)! 12 precious ranking points in the bag!
