Similar pattern that first set to a lot of his matches, broken in the very first game and then going with serve thereafter. Really encouraging effort though and looks like he'll take another match into a decider (hopefully not counting chickens...), and he can obviously compete really well with far more experienced players. Very positive.
FQR: (qWC) Paul Jubb WR 579 defeated (q3) Andrey Rublev (RUS) WR 81 by 4-6 6-3 6-2
Looks as though the Russian pretty much gave up in the decider - either that or Paul was just too good (he had his first match point on the Rublev service in the seventh game & saved three break points in the eighth before converting his second MP)! 12 precious ranking points in the bag!
He's done it. So impressive when he was 0-40 down, saved three break points in the last game to win the match. Echoing SC as she's so quick off the draw!

Keep going like this and he'll have a ranking in the top 200 before he turns professional.... He seems quite phenomenal. There was the comment by his coach that with each new level and challenge he faces Paul seems to grow and soon learn how to overcome it... but I'm sure even his coach might not have thought it would be this quick!
So I wake up here and it seems like I missed all the action. I keep wanting to use the word "unbelievable" for Paul's results but they are coming so thick and fast, it is absolutely "believable".
What odds an his first ATP MD win. With a QvQ spot in the MD there is a 50% chance of him playing another qualifier.
