But he and Ryan Peniston are still seeded to play each other in the final match, since Lloyd still has a higher ranking to Ryan, even if it's Ryan with the better results on grass...
Brydan Klein [1/355] v Luke Johnson
Billy Harris v Jonathan Binding [WC]
Neil Pauffley v Alexis Canter
Michael Shaw [WC] v Ryan Peniston [3/514]
Lloyd Glasspool [2/472] v Andrew Watson
Alastair Gray [WC] v Sean Hodkin [WC]
Jonathan Gray v Mark Whitehouse
George Houghton [WC] v Jack Findel-Hawkins [4/670]
It is a bit of an uninspiring looking list. This was last year by comparison:
QR1: Daniel Evans [1] 340 v Evan Hoyt 859 PR 547
QR1: Marcus Willis 730 v Patrick Foley [WC]
QR1: Jack Findel-Hawkins [WC] 851 v Finn Bass [WC] 792
QR1: Neil Pauffley [WC] 749 v Tom Farquharson [3] 481
QR1: Edward Corrie [2] 457 v Billy Harris 644
QR1: Luke Johnson [WC] 766 v Lloyd Glasspool 578
QR1: Luke Bambridge 589 v Jonathan Gray 588
QR1: Isaac Stoute [WC] 952 v Brydan Klein [4] 499
Obviously Dan was included controversially, but you also had Marcus as a biggish name, and Evan. Perhaps jokingly, but I think it was last year (or perhaps 2017) that someone on here, I think Vandy, was championing Jonathan Gray for a full MDWC, but he's a million miles away from even being in that conversation now. Corrie was also capable of getting the odd win. I suppose Brydan and Lloyd have both knocked 100+ places off their rankings in 12 months, but still being nearly into the 500s when your approaching 26 later in the year is not much to write home about, relatively speaking.

My feeling on grass season to date is that Klein and Peniston will play it out for one QWC place, hard to call that match as their records seem v close so far. I would like Peniston to win it as I think he deserves it more. In the lower half, going to go with Watson to cause an upset versus Lloyd and see it through to qualify for the qualies
Yeah, doesn't look like Anton has played since Sunderland R1 in mid-April, which coincidentally, I saw most of the second set live. It looks like no George Loffhagen since mid-March either. It's strange as about a year ago those 2 and Aidan were considered our brightest prospects along with Jack, and although Aidan is currently having relative success on the 15k scene, they have been overshadowed by Paul and Jack's reemergence. Anton, Aidan and George (and Jack) were all (somewhat controversially at the time) direct QWCs last year.
