Amanda pulled out of France today. Compson's best position should be to be a seed in qualifying to guarantee her playing a lower ranked player, preferably much lower ranked. She's now at 2nd seed in qualifying in danger of getting into the main draw if there are no SEs.

As regards Mandy - she has played two weeks in a row - hopefully just tired after a long lay-off - has picked up 25 points in the last 2 weeks and has no need to chase it with all her ITF kicking in on 05/08.
