There is a Category 1 Tennis Europe International under 12 event this week at Halton (Katy Dunne's first club) with most of our medal winning Winter Cup teams taking part. In the girls event Hephzibah Oluwadare and Mingge Xu have yet to be tested and have reached the semis, joined by qualifier Ruby Cooling and a German. In the boys event Samy Khediri edged out Ben Gusic Wan in a match tiebreak, and he is joined in the semis by Thomas Vale, Joseph Mazingham and a Lithuanian qualifier

At Halton in the U12 Cat 1 event Mingge and Hephzibah cruised through to the final. The boys final is also an all British affair, with Samy taking on Joseph after straight sets wins.

At Halton it's congratulations to Joseph and Hephzibah. Mingge at least got more than twice the number of games Hephzibah had conceded in her first 4 matches combined

Boys F

Joseph Mazingham d. Samy Khediri 6-2 6-4

Girls F

Hephzibah Oluwadare d. Mingge Xu 6-3 7-6(1)

Brilliant !

Well done, Hep (and Mingge too). Hep's a real talent, great to watch.

Don't know Joseph but will note his name.

In Tunisia, G5, Cheri's run came to an end:

SF: Ana Karen GUADIANA CAMPOS (MEX) 6-1 6-4 Cheri DARLEY (GBR)
