I see Jack and cam withdrew. Any ides why anyone ?
Jack seemed absolutely fine in his singles today. He was rubbing/stretching his left leg everso slightly, but I didn't take that to be anything serious at all. Might be wrong, of course.....
Maybe I must missed him but I did note that although I saw everyone else (I think) training this morning, I didn't see Cam (although, as said, maybe he'd booked later in the afternoon, for some reason).
What I dont get is why they introduce doubles qualies at 500 level, makes no logical sense.
They introduced it as a way to help bridge the impossible gap to get from 250 to 500 level (500 cuts are normally about the same as Masters level).
As I've said before, how much it helps I'm not sure. For one thing letting players use their singles ranking goes against the whole point of the system. To make an example of the absurdity of the system, the Roland Garros runners-up are in qualifying here, and it would have been the same if they used their current rankings.
Interesting (after some of the knocks it gets on this forum) to hear him say that Queen's is one of the best tournaments on the ATP tour and everyone who works there is so nice. One of my sons had very happy experiences working there in his University holidays for a couple of years.
Most of the people who work and go to Queens will probably be distracted voting for Boris. Its full of tories essentially. Very elite and selective club its fair to say.
Surprised you want to make that point in reply to two comments saying how well run the tournament is and how nice the people who work there are!!
Andy was practising with Dodig (I think, that's what someone told me anyway) and against Bruno and Buno's new partner (Pavic?) Andy and Bruno had a lovely hug and a short convo before beginning practice.

I think Bruno is really good friends with the Murray's as a family I believe, which probably made the split with Jamie harder to do but quite mature in the doing of. It was great seeing him win at the weekend in Holland

Being honest I think Jamie is/was the weak link and not Bruno. It seemed to coincide with the knee injury which hopefully is not an issue anymore and I would like to see his new partnership with Neal progress.
