One good thing from queens is that players like Ken skupski, tomorrow joe Salisbury get some nice exposure to the non tennis public watching. Good stufd
This is exactly right. And some of the watching public will be thinking Ken Skupski is 40 in the world, Joe Salisbury is 20, why don't I know these guys?
Joe Salisbury is another player to transition from college tennis to the pro tour. He was at the University of Memphis, then trained at Gosling HPC for a while.
Joe definitely gets my vote today! My son played a charity exhibition doubles match with Joe and he's a really lovely guy and a fantastic player :0)

I think either pair winning has a positive vibe, but Joe's profile and career would certainly benefit more !
Either way, it's great doubles is getting exposure like this and will do over next 3 weeks at least. It's one of the reasons the old dc format was good, Saturday doubles match was often pivotal and on tv at a peak time for viewers. The laver cup will also help when the feds and nadals etc play doubles together in what is now an official tournament.
Final: (PR) Feliciano López (ESP) & Andy Murray UNR (82+0) vs Rajeev Ram (USA) & Joe Salisbury CR 49 (25+24)
So, Feli takes the singles title by beating Gilou in three sets. The match lasted for two hours & 49 minutes. Will he be buoyed by the victory & have adrenaline coursing through his veins or running on empty by the time the doubles final gets under way? Let's hope the former...
Joe moves ahead of Jamie in the race (although he's played two more tournaments with the same partner) and if he wins this one, up to live WR15. He's having quite the spectacular year. If Jamie and Neal start to click even a little, there's a real tough battle for the best Davis Cup pairing...
I am happy for Andy and Feli, of course but am a bit sad/upset that the actual doubles pairing couldn't/didn't get the win. One of those times you wish everyone can win.
Had to go out just before the end of the first set. So pleased to see Andy and Feli won (though like others, really feel for Joe and Rajeev, and would have been perfectly happy for them to win too). Not so pleased to see that the Beeb switched to BBC4 part-way through, so my recording doesn't have the end. Hoping they put it up somewhere, but not holding my breath.

It was on BBC1 earlier; 1 match 3 channels I am sorry you didn't see the end - what about the BBC website and/or YouTube?
