Week 24 - ATP 250 - Libéma Open - 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands (grass) - doubles

Tight, got past the double Dutch. Feels like a title we should aspire to have a brit winner in though.

Good result to start the day as Dom and Krajicek beat the top seeds, Kubot and Melo, on a MTB. Well done to them

Dom may be getting his eye back in just in time for Wimbledon:

QF:  Dominic Inglot & Austin Krajicek (USA) CR 72 (32+40) defeated (1) Lukasz Kubot & Marcelo Melo (POL/BRA) CR 6 (2+4) by 5-7 6-3 [10-3]  biggrin

Now the second seeds, Klaasen & Venus, are out, beaten by 4-6 6-7(3) by Daniell & Koolhof, who will face Jamie & Neal in the semi, if they beat the Dutch pair.

Remember, dont count out these Dutch doubles players. You may have heard me mention that before...

Whereas Dom was a surprise win, Joe turns out to be a surprise loser, in a match they never seemed to look like winning.

Jamie and Neal up next

My tip for Wimbledon, Tsitsipas, lost today to Nicholas Jarry in Den Bosch. There is a reason right there why I am at the bottom of the prediction rankings tables that Sim maintains!

And Jamie and Neal go down now, leaving just Dom standing at the two ATP Tour level events. Disappointing weak and Jamie and Neal havent quite started as they would have hoped.

Of course, it was a couple of Dutch doubles players who beat them. Not entirely a shock really

I feared the worst when I left work with the score at 5-7 *3-3.  The sorry story:

QF:  Robin Haase & Jean-Julien Rojer (NED/NED) CR 48 (33+15) defeated (3) Jamie Murray & Neal Skupski CR 38 (8+30) by 5 & 3  cry

Definitely a weak, er, weak...
