So tara plays gatto-monticone, who I admit to never having heard of. What are Tara's chances ?

I would have initially thought not too bad, but she hasn't started well. Think Tara opened up at 7/4, so a betting underdog, but GGM is at a career high despite her age as mentioned earlier. Looks like this is her first ever time on grass, presumably as it's the first time she'll be in Wimbledon qualies so she's given it a go. The French Open was her first ever grand slam main draw appearance at 31.

Anyway, a double break down 0-3)

Tara went on a bit of a roll after her slow start, but was just broken when trying to serve it out.

[WC] Tara Moore GBR 5-4* [7] Giulia Gatto-Monticone ITA

Looks like *5-3 is a good comeback !

But is broken to 15, so back on serve again.

Injury break mid game at 30-30. That doesn't sound great. Not sure who.

Well tough for Gatto-Monticone and her grass court debut but good for Tara. 18 points now and counting...

Hope she's OK. A bit concerning during a game, but yes, good that Tara has qualified. Looking at the Qs, I'm hoping for Maia vs Tara in R1.

I see Nottingham has a yellow weather warning for rain from early tomorrow until Thursday lunchtime and it's pretty much forecast for non-stop rain Monday through Wednesday. With such a poor forecast, will they switch the first round to indoor hard courts?

All the qualifiers have now finished so we should find out fairly soon who plays who.

It is Tara vs Maia - good, that's a guaranteed 30 points for one of them.

Sign me up for Yastremska vs Ruse.
