I can no longer get a stream working for Emily either via ITF stream or Bet365, but she has recovered from *0-30 to hold and guarantee at least a tie break (and hopefully 2).
Vic lost 6-2 6-1. She was a big outsider, but still a bit of a disappointing scoreline considering Lao got crushed 1 and 1 by Xiyu (who Swan beat) last week, is 272 in the race from 11 events, so not in great form (McNally is 113 from 9 events, and Ann Li 120 from 10, Birrell 128 from 11 for comparison), and she was also the only player Watson managed to beat on the grass last year (1 and 3 at Nottm). Obviously the bigger picture is getting experience, but was hoping it would have been a bit closer.
McNally serving for the match against Eden 2-5*
Emily is into a TB.

Well, Emily has done the best of the first three up, and that's NOT what I was expecting, especially as when I first looked she was 0-3 down and the other two were even after the first few games, so full credit to her. She seems able to turn on an occasional set or run of games, but not extend that to a whole match yet. But this is the highest ranked opponent she's faced (I think), so a very good performance all things considering.
