I don't see a qualifying draw yet. It seems to be the norm for one of the four to be a qwc.

QR1: (q1) Luke Saville (AUS) WR 313 (CH = 152 in February 2015) vs (qWC) Alastair Gray UNR (CH = 989 in October 2017)
QR1: (q2) Brydan Klein WR 359 (CH = 169 in September 2015) vs (qWC) Andrew Watson 672 (CH = 616 last December)

Qualifiers play Ilkel of Turkey ( last direct acceptance ( or Chung (not the Chung) from Korea. So lots of incentive for Klein, Watson (hot from winning North Oxford British tour event on grass) and Alastair gray.

Hyeon Chung from S.Korea who had the breakout slam appearance the same time Kyle did is still injured (back). He has been injured (roughly) for a year now.

Yep, this is another Chung, Yunseong, and a lot less threatening as an opponent

First set to Klein vs Watson, levelled and level in the final set.

Gray dropped the first set vs Saville, 2nd set on serve near the conclusion.
4-6 5-4*

In the main draw R1 :

Clarke back on serve after an early break vs Donskoy.
