The National League is very competitive and you will find lots of local teams trying to bring in the best regional players.
Oldham, Carlise and York have big budgets and Rochdale are flying.

I fear when we go down, we wont come back anytime soon. Sad.
To be fair Harrogate have probably over achieved getting into the football league.
Just a few years ago you were struggling in non league before the money arrived.
Money cannot always buy success in FL as Salford have found out.

You are right, of course, and with an average crowd of somewhere between 2500-3000 it is hard to make it self sustaining - the worry is, if we go down, will Daddy Weaver take his money out of the club, will the club then survive (he wont want his money back, but he may take his funding away - I cant imagine anyone wanting to buy the club). If he money goes, getting up again will be tough, if not impossible
In Scotland Rangers beat Hesrts 4-2, following on from Celtic winning at second bottom Kilmarnock.3-2 ( from 0-2 down.) with a winner after 90+7 minutes, just 4 days on from Celtic besting bottom club Livingston 2-1 at home with a 90+1 minute winner.
And there have been other late wins for Celtic under Martin O'Neill ( they equalised in the cup against Dundee last week after 90+7 minutes ). You could say admirable but O'Neill does seem a lucky charm after waltzing back in to take over from Wilfried Nancy who made plenty mistakes but also anything that could go wrong did seem to go wrong for the guy. Whatever, it is proving a tad annoying for Hearts and Rangers and their fans.

Seems like we have some hope as Harrogate managed to get a really needed away win at Barrow, a real six pointer. We now have 7 points out of 9, and are just two behind Barrow, Crawley and Bristol rovers and ahead of Newport. Weve played more games though but have some momentum and you just never know.
Got tickets for my Dad and my son and myself to go to see us play league leaders Bromley on Saturday. Will do my Dad good and son coming up for Mums funeral. Should be a good afternoon out , albeit Bromley will be firm favourites. But we have some hope now!

Massive match today for the Sulphirites - Bromley , at home. Going with my son and Dad- 3 generations to drown our sorrows after we probably get stuffed!
Yes, it's proving tp be a great cup season for Saints but we are far from too good to get relegated or in a false position as pundits have been saying for months. 2 points off the relegation play-off spot with Kilmarnock looking in better form than us.

Seriously impressive performanfe today - we thrashed Bromley , you wouldnt have known they are top and we are favourites to go down. Sadly, the thrashing was nil nil . But its 8 points from 2 and if we can keep it up, weve a chance.
