The commentator on Eurosport 2 on a men's Q match said that he had heard she retired after the first set, so I'm glad he got that wrong...

Looks like she's got a small amount of tape on the inside of her thigh. Go-faster stripe ?

It's more than a bit of tape.

It's a whole thigh bandage.

But they're often preventative, just to redistribute the strains and tensions and support any slight twinge.

Honest, I first posted while I was watching ! The trainer came on at the change of ends at 3-0 to strap it. (And I just checked by rewinding and watching again)

 Fair enough - just that there was a hell of a delay it appeared whilst following the score on the website after the first set had been completed.
