How will Katie and heathers rankings improve with these wins ?
Katie will just get back inside the top 200, in the 190s, some of those just above her won Q1 as well. Heather's 20 goes some way to replacing the 30 she earned at WTA Nuremberg last year for beating Bondarenko in R1, so no improvement for her yet, but welcome points nonetheless.

And a longgg way to go before these points are added of course, nearly 3 weeks until the end of the French Open. A lot to happen before then potentially, including at lower tournament reach levels.
Yes, as Michael says, those qualifying ( plus hopefully more ) points won't be added until the post French Open 10/06 rankings. So with points due off on 27/05 and 10/06 so far their rankings will overall be dropping in spite of these 20 points. But with potential to add back further French Open points and/or other tournament points for 10/06.
Heather : 20/06: WR 105 on 614 points 27/06: around WR 113 on 586 points ( - net 28 points ) 10/06: so far around WR 123 on 536 points ( - 70 + 20, down 50 net points )
Katie S : 20/06: WR 208 on 279 points 27/06: around WR 208 on 279 points ( unchanged points ) 10/06: so far around WR 219 on 269 points ( - 18 - 13 + 1 +20, down 10 net points ).

thanks to Indy, Michael D and Ace for the various consistent responses!
Great wins for Katie and Heather - can't wait to see if they can push on and get qualifying spots - Katie always looked on top against Teichmann and it made a mockery of the rankings. I feel she is much better than her ranking and current results suggest and this result should hopefully give her a lot of confidence. The Chinese player is a virtual unknown to me, but fingers crossed for both of our women - Heather up in a minute.
The matches are all easily accessible on various platforms which is fanstastic, but it would have been nice if Hev was on the flagship Eurosport 2 with the commentating duo, so you could easily switch between that and other channels (like WTA Strasbourg) if you wanted, but I guess they just get what they are given.
Am I being cynical to suggest the British players are deliberately not shown on the main channel to make people subscribe to the player?
anyway, Hev has pulled it back from 0-2 to 3-3
You could well be right .
I shouldn't complain, but even little things like being 3 points behind and I'm interested in a fair few others qualifying matches, so if I check the scores I'll know if Hev has been broken here etc. I guess I could type the players names into google and check the scores that way to avoid spoilers, but that's a bit hassle. I guess this delayed streaming is the way forward though with Amazon Prime.
Hev was broken whilst I was typing out that waffle . 3-5* (but may well have broken back in real time...)
