That was an excellent last game. Two quality clean winners from Schoofs, and three strong first serves from Hev, two that gave her the point directly and one set it up. (and another point I can't remember ....)
First time. Her and Katie. No wobbles - blinkin' amazing.

That's a great win for Hev, will do her confidence a power of good - although I think she'd got it back anyway. A month ago I would have expected her to wilt in the third set.

Two great wins for our girls. Saw Heather's first set and thought she played beautifully - just like to old Hev. Then switched to watch Katie and the momentum clearly changed. The third set was very tight - lots of long games and very little in it, so really excellent to see Heather hold her nerve and serve it out.
Incidentally I bought a 12 months subscription for the Eurosport player a month or so back when it was on offer at £19.99. Already proving a bargain, and it will take me through next year's Aussie Open too.
Very long match between Badosa Gibert and Korpatsch, well over 3 hours. PBG looks half dead in this final set tie break and has just lost. There's now no seeds left in Katie's section. X Wang vs Swan, Korpatsch vs Kucova. Respective winners will face off for a place at RG.

Very pleased my fears came to nothing - often when someone has multiple chances to break but don't as Heather did at the start of set 3, they immediately lose their own service game. Well done to Heather for holding her nerve and serving it out too. Great wins for her and Katie - so chuffed for both. Hope Heather can take this positive spell into the grass season.
