I'm currently Googling 'how can you delete a thread on britishtennis.activeboard?' :embarrass:
Don't be embarrassed AV. I'd much rather you played down her chances and she then exceeded our expectations rather than the opposite. It's just a joy to see her playing so well.
An attacking forehand that forced the error, an ace, a strong first serve that didn't come back, an error, and then another strong serve - game, set and match

Well, I've simply got to put his hands up and say very well done Katie. I'm very surprised, but very pleased. Even if hypothetically Jil pulled out on day one of Prague and just had a ranking of a solid top 150 player who'd won an ITF clay title this year, I'd have feared the worst, but hopefully this huge win can push her on, and it could be perfect timing with the grass season coming up and many fellow young players not at full health. That's her best win for ages.
Interesting match up next with a Chinese 18 year old former top junior Xiyu Wang, who won a 60k+H clay event in Spain last week and demolished Lao earlier. With their vast expansion into China, the WTA will certainly be hoping she pushes on in the next year or so and become the face of the numerous events that they put on over there.
