11 of the 12 qualifiers are now known, so Jo will have to wait until the conclusion of Blinkova-Glushko, *2-4 final set, before her opponent is known. Katie S unfortunately not in contention for the LL spot.
Blinkova won the next 4 games to book her place and a nice hug at the end. So Q placements should probably be revealed within the next 30 mins or so.

Qualifiers are currently being placed. Babos has 1 LL spot and either Juvan, Hibino or Bouzkova will get the other.
Bouzkova is the other and Jo has avoided Pera which is probably be main thing.

I didn't see the match, so would be happy to be otherwise corrected, but looking at the serving stats in Bouzkova's FQR match, it might be that she was carrying an injury throughout. Now she has LL qualification, let's hope she is able to play to her full potential in the first round.
In her defeat yesterday, sky sports notes that, 'Swan was hampered by a left thigh injury throughout her clash against Kucova, which saw her take a long medical time-out at the end of the first set.'
Would explain her relatively modest performance against Kucova after the highs of Teichmann. Hope she recovers in time for the grass.
Interesting article on Katie Swan on the BBC sports website. Says she's been struggling with confidence for 6-8 months. Almost didn't play Roland Garros.
Would explain her results over this period really. Now working with a sports psychologist.
Hoping she feels better but it will be a long process.
I was so sad for Katie S when I read the article on the BBC website - she is such a good player already, and it is so sad to hear that when she loses she not only suffers with her confidence, but feels significantly diminished as a person.
It sounds as if she has putting great pressure on herself to perform well and then finding it hard to take when she gets setbacks - I know every player suffers from that, but it all depends on how much pressure you put on yourself and how down you get when you lose, in that beyond a certain point, it can become a self-destructive force.
Anyway it sounds as if her new sports psychologist is now helping to get her into a better mindset, and I feel she has so many reasons to be positive.
To me, she is a wonderful young player, with a great all round game, and I expect her to have a really successful career. Her wins this week sound as if they have given her much needed confidence. I really think that she shouldn't be doubting herself too much - she has only just turned 20 and has already risen well up the rankings. Hopefully those around her can make her see the positives and for her to believe in her own great potential.
