Week 21 - ITF (W25) - Jerusalem, Israel - Hard

Well the 'not on court too long' isn't going that well so far, Jodie held to 40 and now it's deuce #8 in EWS's first service game.

Jodie now 0/5 on BPs. Had 40-15* on this service game, but EWS held. Bet 365 ctually said Jodie broke to 30, but then changed to 40-40, so perhaps an umpire overrule, but either way, it's 3-1* Emily.

And now another break and Emily is serving at *5-2

Meanwhile Sam and Despina took the first set 7-5

That sounded a very eventful set. The run stretched to 15 points in a row, but then EWS threatened to break back.

It's the 20 year old unranked WC Biran up next for the winner. She was on a bit of a losing streak coming into this event, so not as if it was an extremely young, unknown, banana skin. You'd think / hope the winner of this would have a great shot of making the QF.

Wonder what happened from 5-2 to 5-5. Perhaps Jodie just hit a purple patch after failing to take early chances

It's looking good for Jodie now. 8 games in a row, so 3-0* second set. EWS is still getting the odd break point chance and had a couple in the first game of this set, so not completely over, but a very good turnaround.

After 10 game in a row for Jodie, EWS is threatening a mini Tara and has won 8 of the last 9 points, breaking to love when Jodie was serving for it. 7-5 5-2*.
