 So, I'm obviously missing something here....

How come Conor and Scott, with a doubles combined ranking of 552, are wildcards whilst the other two with a combined ranking of 2788 seemingly are in the draw as of right?

Is this something to do with singles rankings?


 

I don't know the full technicalities of it but the ITF did something like giving singles players priority at the start of year. I believe they did open a couple of doubles only spots at some point, but just another case of pointless stupidness from the ITF.
